Just saw that a reader had come by way of the Google search Camille+Paglia+crazy. I'm pretty disappointed that "crazy" was associated with such a wonderfully intelligent and gutsy woman. The search turned up this page also. The entry reads, in part: Camille Paglia: A really crazy bitch who is a lesbian and a postmodern anti-feminist. It's about as inaccurate a description of Paglia as you can get. She is definitely neither crazy nor post-modernist. Slamming po-mo plonkers is one of her favourite pursuits. Perhaps she is an anti-feminist, if by feminism you mean the infantile victim-mania of today's twisted sisters. The chick rocks. If ony there were more like her - particularly down here in Australia. |
