A scimitar for Skippy?
07.31.07 (3:29 am)   [edit]

At least five of our iconic marsupials have been decapitated and their heads left on a beach in Queensland.

Makes you wonder why someone committed such a gruesome act.  Perhaps a local Jihadist was set off by the name "bush kangaroos"?

Al Gore Junior's (energy) saving grace
07.31.07 (3:17 am)   [edit]
In other dysfunctional family news, Al Gore's son has been arrested for being out of his tree whilst driving.  Al Senior will be none too pleased.  But I'm sure Al Junior will be fogiven, since he was driving an environmentally friendly car.

Lindsay Lohan's dodgy dad
07.31.07 (3:00 am)   [edit]

Dads have generally been getting a bum rap for ages now.  But Lindsay Lohan's old man seems to deserve the condemnation he's been getting.  Sounds like a pretty flaky character.

He's been sprung for DUI, as well as battery.  No wonder his daughter is such a mess.

Pro-bloggers everywhere
07.26.07 (9:04 pm)   [edit]

I've noticed that there are some pro-bloggers earning a full-time income.  For some reason I assumed that the leaders in this field would be from the US.  But it's not the case.  One of them, Darren Rowse, is from down here in Oz -- Melbourne to be exact.

Here's some info on his journey into pro-blogging.

Blog money
07.10.07 (6:45 am)   [edit]

I have written about paid blogging before.  Just found a good list of the major sites that offer work of this kind.

Most intriguing is the Wordpress plugin that enables broker-free paid posts.  It's at the end of the list.

While I'm on the subject: here's an Adsense alternative I'd never seen before.  Looks pretty good

Spears family discord
07.02.07 (6:23 am)   [edit]

Earlier I wrote about how may female celebs have strained relationships with their fathers.

Looks like quite a few don't get on too well with their dads, too.  Take Britney Spears, for instance
