Sugababe no sweetie

Call me old fashioned, but I find violence committed by a woman more depressing than when it's committed by a man.  And when that woman is an absolute stunner it just ruins my day.

Blame the sea!
04.28.07 (8:16 pm)   [edit]

I'm a global warming sceptic and so when I read stuff debunking the hysteria, I get a warm fuzzy feeling all over.

That's why I was mighty chuffed to read this article about how we're gonna see some cooling (won't that be a cack if it happens!).

I particularly like that bit about the oceans being the ultimate cause of the present warming trend.  It jibes strongly with my hydrophobic prejudices.  I've never liked water.  It's so ... wet.

Yeah, wet.  Kind of like global warming zealots, really.

Hmm.  Maybe they've been colluding?

The blogging for cash posts never stop!
04.24.07 (7:34 am)   [edit]

Just found another site listing blogging sponsorship sites, including descriptions of ones I've already mentioned, and still others I haven't seen elsewhere.  It also has a good long list of blog directories.

Still more on blogging for cash
04.24.07 (4:06 am)   [edit]

Did a bit more searching and found some other "paid to blog" companies.  These are Blog to Profit, In Blog Ads , and Blogging Ads

A thorough summary of these sites (and some others I've mentioned) is found here

I am the king of "soggy tights"
04.24.07 (2:36 am)   [edit]

Having your site on page one of a Google search result for a popular search term is highly prized for obvious reasons.  Say if I nailed a page one listing for "blogger" well, I'd be a bloody celebrity wouldn't I!

Well, I'm not there yet.  But the process is well underway.

See, I am on the first page of a search engine that looks like Google.  And while the search term is fairly obscure, it could become very popular indeed under certain circumstances.

You never know, if a tsunami hits the Bolshoi I could be the net's next big thing

More on blogging for cash
04.22.07 (7:11 am)   [edit]

Sensing that this whole blog sponsoring deal is going through a bit of a growth spurt I went searching for other sites like the ones listed below.  Sure enough, there were quite a few more.

Have a look at Buzzyblog, Blogging Sponsorships, Blogsvertise, Pay Me to Blog About You, and Loud Launch.  There's even a chick-only site of this kind, BlogHer Ads

Crikey.  It's booming!

Should get my arse into gear, shouldn't I?

Body Shop about-face
04.21.07 (7:43 pm)   [edit]

Who'da thunk it?  The Body Shop is using products tested on animals.  (Well, that's what the animal libbers reckon, anyway.)

What next?  Bob Brown going pro-nuke?

Blogging for cash
04.20.07 (4:47 am)   [edit]

A while ago Yobbo posted on a "paid to blog" site (I think it was Review Me).  Being a newbie capo, and having made a reasonable amount of money from affiliate programs so far, this piqued my interest.

Have been too busy to pursue this further, but did Google on the subject a little while ago.  Found another 4 sites like Review Me.  There's Blogitive, Smorty, Pay per Post and Sponsored Reviews.

Most seem to pay at least 5 bucks per post.  Not bad.  If you focused on it you could supplement your income nicely.  (Although, if you went overboard, you could lose your cyber-soul and become a kind of blog-whore.  Caution is recommended.)

Big Arnie admonishes ferndies
04.12.07 (5:46 pm)   [edit]

Arnold Schwarzenegger has told greenies to stop nagging and get "sexy" .

Despite his new environmentally friendly law I'm guessing the "Austrian Oak" will remain the one tree greenies will just never wanna hug.

PC chainsaw murder
04.09.07 (7:02 pm)   [edit]

Here's a murder trial that makes most of them seem run of the mill.  See, the accused is a black deaf lesbian, who allegedly hacked to death another deaf woman with a chainsaw, then burned her remains!

The ghoulishness of the act combined with the unique political elements'll make your head spin
