The wild west
01.28.07 (5:36 pm)   [edit]

The huge arid state of West Australia is famous for its immense reserves of natural resources.  And it's infamous for its hoons, who must be the most brazen leadfoots in the entire country.

Why so?  Well, they start young here.  Very young.

Sweltering Perth
01.27.07 (9:23 pm)   [edit]

Here in Perth, Western Australia we've just had several days hot enough to grill the gonads off a goanna.  Today, it'll hit 41 degrees (if it hasn't already)!

Thankfully, it'll be down to 32 tomorrow.  Hot by international standards, but cool as here after the last few days.

It's times like these I think the climate obsessed ferndies might just have a point!

Will Smith in reverse
01.11.07 (7:17 pm)   [edit]

Funny bloke Will Smith reckons the way into a woman's panties is through her funny bone.  Make her laugh, he says, and she'll jump into bed with you

I've tried the technique he espouses.  However, since I'm one of those old fashinoned types who simply can't improvise, my efforts have never borne fruit.  (It kills the mood when you pull out a note with your routine written on it, as you can imagine.)

That said, I have been in one sexual situation in which the woman did laugh.  That was after we'd disrobed, however.  Very disappointing, and the worst thing for a man's libido.  (It was also extremely annoying, since the establishment in question refused to give me a refund.)

Asteroid apocalypse?
01.10.07 (8:32 pm)   [edit]

Ferndies are utterly obsessed with climate change.  But there are other looming threats way more frightening.

Take the asteroid Apophis, for example.  It's gonna fly past us in 2029.  And depending how close it goes then, it may just hit us sveral years later.  That spells doom for millions.

Understandably, some of the world's finest boffins are keen to know as much as possible about the asteroid's movement through space.  Which is why they're offering a 50 grand award for the best method of doing this

Trouble is,  collectibng said info requires "tagging" the asteroid with something trackable.  Tough to do, for obvious reasons.  Which is why I reckon they should contact this guy and see if he's short of a few bob

Irreconcilable differences, alright
01.08.07 (3:47 am)   [edit]

Marilyn Manson's wife Dita Von Teese has filed for divorce, citing that ol' standby.

Hardly surprising.  Manson is so psychologically mala djusted, he has irreconcilable differences between his own friggin' eyeballs.

Freak.

Murphy the new Macca?
01.06.07 (4:15 am)   [edit]

After reading about all them shenanigans from Heather "Blokeface" Mills in her quest to humiliate poor, loveable ol' Macca, I thought it would be quite a while before another mega-famous male would suffer such public humilation at the hands of a scorned woman.  But nup, there's already another one: Eddie Murphy.

The woman in question is Mel B, formerly of the Spice Girls.  The crazy broad is so pissed off about being dumped by Murphy that she's planning to divulge the results of her soon-to-be-born bub' s paternity test on live TV.

Yikes!

"Scary" indeed

Compelling reality TV
01.03.07 (8:16 pm)   [edit]

Just a quick note to mention a great TV show called The First 48.  It's a reality show covering homicide cases in various US cities.  Watching the hard-bitten, hard-working detectives try and track down then nail the scum-sucking "perps" in the crucial two days and nights after the crime is committed is absolutely fascinating.

I'm hooked
