Naomi Robson scandal
03.30.06 (5:49 am)   [edit]

I'm fascinated by this latest scandal involving the gorgeous but, er, troubled Naomi Robson.  (For those outside of Oz, she's a high profile talking head on a top-rating current affairs show.  Not so long ago she was taped letting fly with a torrent of obscenities pre-show.  Now she's been romatically linked to some con man caught up in a police investigation of the drug trade.  Here's a good round up of her career ups and downs.)

Much of the comment about the liason has been pretty coy, but true to form Andrew Landeryou has some bolder stuff on offer

PS:  Check out all the snarky comments, all by rabid little anony-mice.  You've gotta wonder: why are they terrified of being sprung commenting on a blog?  Who are these people?

Carnivores rule!
03.27.06 (6:24 pm)   [edit]

Not only is chowing down on a nice chunk of pig flesh far more satisfying than eating any kind of plant material.  It is also no longer bad for you.  On the contrary, it's actually beneficial.

Ha!  Eat sprouts and die, vegans!

Mr Quaid not so randy for Brokeback producers
03.25.06 (6:08 pm)   [edit]

Earlier I wrote that the title of that much-lauded fillum about wrangler romance should  have been Bareback Mountin'.  Subsequently I worried that perhaps I was being a tad harsh.  Not so.  It seems that at least one of the actors was right royally screwed from behind and left wondering: "Where is the love?"

Isaac Hayes cops comic karma
03.23.06 (4:19 am)   [edit]

I almost couldn't believe Isaac Hayes' recent dummy spit over the satire of his beloved Scientology.  It even seemed odd that he was a member.

It's all kind of sad really. I imagined them having so much fun making a show like that.  You know, all in it together because they were enjoying it.  But it seems it was always very much a career move for Hayes, which is why he, er, moved his career by quitting when he was offended.

The makers have retained their collective sense of humour, however, and have exacted their revenge on Hayes satirically.  Still, I can't help but think this might be the beginning of the end for the show.

Drug smuggling is the pits
03.13.06 (6:48 pm)   [edit]

A woman has taken advantage of her "goodbye muscle" and used it to conceal contraband.

I'd imagine that at least some of the cocaine she was smuggling managed to enter her bloodstream via osmosis. If so, is this the first case in which a woman's "bingo wings" really made her fly?  And do we now add the phrase "happy flaps" to the long list of slang terms for this part of a woman's anatomy?

George Clooney is a turd as well
03.05.06 (6:20 pm)   [edit]

Not so long ago I posted about how George Clooney is basically a boofhead.  Pinhead liberals, of course, can't spot tosh, so they think he's a legend because of his Bush-bashing fillums.

Here's a good description of his latest, the much-lauded Syriana.  I knew it was going to be the same old shite, but I never thought it would be this absurd -- and pernicious.

How do these people keep outdoing themselves?  You gotta hand it to 'em for sheer tenacity.
