2005 Archives You'll see in the archives section above that 2005 is missing. That's some glitch that will hopefully rectify itself eventually. But in the meantime if you want to find my posts from this period they are below:
Being a tightwad and a cheapskate (and also particularly greedy) I'm constantly on the lookout for ways to get web traffic for free. Signing up to a traffic exchange is one of the better ones. Here are some you might want to join:
I always thought that ATSIC was the embodiment of a kind of fluffy-wuffy, huggy-wuggy apartheid. And here Andrew Bolt says as much, almost in the same words.
The scrapping of ATSIC is a fantastic thing, and the beginning of the end of the racist Aboriginal industry. Then we'll get around to taking down all those other divisive tribal institutions, and eventually the twisted sisterhood.
Apparently the harp seal population has tripled, and seal hunters are going spacko with baseball bats. Not surprisingly assorted ferndamentalists and PETA-bleaters are cracking the shits big time.
I must say the thought of those cute little fellas getting whacked does sadden me somewhat. So, here's a solution:
Instead of killing seals, why not do a massive cull of fluffy wuffies? This is a clean, and green alternative, since these yammering squits do create a hell of a lot of noise pollution. Their lentil rich diets also result in vast emissions of toxic greenhouse gases. And, of course, a lot of them are pretty furry.
It's a win-win situation for sure!
I'm off to the sports store to get me a cricket bat. Looks like I'll emulate my namesake after all.
Here's a good piece on how a feminist bimbo like Pat O'Shane (who, of course, is one of the darlings of the squitterati) can win a lawsuit against a columnist (in this case Janet Albrechtsen) for stating the bleedin' obvious: that O'Shane lets her kooky politics and combustible temper influence her judgements.
I was quite surprised that Latham's Labor decided to try and out-Lib the Libs by promising to abolish ATSIC. I know heaps of arty wankers who should be up in arms about this.
But no, that would require spine, and integrity - two qualities about as rare as hens' balls in the bong-fogged cul de sacs of Artsville.
And why bite the hand that feeds them? If they were even remotely critical, they might not get their next grant.
So, we have this double standard: When the Libs attack the obvious racism inherent in the separatist ideology that produced ATSIC (and which has also turned it into a complete disaster) they are denounced as "racist". When Labor does the same thing - and more assertively - they are being "realistic".
And just imagine all the sanctimonious squittering from the media fluffs if it were Howard, not Latham, who'd made this first, major proposal?
Here's another case illustrating the pervasive anti-Howard bias, this time from ATSIC commisioner Ray Robinson.
Latham moves to abolish Robinson's own treasured organisation, and he uses this to condemn Howard more than Latham.
